We had 48 players today including 2 guests enjoying the fine weather who produced some reasonable scores despite the wind.

It was nice to see that Immediate Past Captain Mike Thomas chose to celebrate his 70th birthday by playing golf with us. He had a well deserved rendition of 'Happy Birthday' from the other members of the Wedges.

Our Captain Steve Kane had to leave early so Vice Captain John Booth stood in to make the presentation.

Only two twos today, they were:

Mike Thomas

Mark Thomas

Winner of the members draw was Clive Adams who said he would be taking his wife Barbara out for a meal with his winnings

The results for the day were:

1st: Frank Webb - 37 pts
2nd: Alison Booth - 35 pts
3rd: Richard Evans - 34 pts

Best Guest: J Greenway - 27 pts

Frank Webb wins the day

Alison Booth recieves her prize for coming second from her husband Vice Captain John Booth

Best Guest was J Greenway

Nearest the pin winner was Peter 'Sexy' Sexton who declined my offer to swap the bottle for two cans of Strongbow
