Our second visit of the year to The Grove was for our Captain's Day which attracted 54 members. One of the guests was Ethan Stanton, the grandson of Roger Parsons, great to see him playing better than his grandfather, winning not only the best guest prize but also one of the nearest the pins.

The results for the day were:

1st: Owen Money - 37pts
2nd: Karen Parfitt - 36pts
3rd: Ricchard Evans - 36pts

Best Guest - Ethan Stanton - 30pts

Since it was Captain's Day a nearest the pin prize was awarded on each par 3

Ken Gregory gets a case of Stella for his nearest the pin

Owen Money also got nearest the pin.

Bob Evans gets his Stella for his nearest the pin

Captain Steve Kane checks with Ethan Stanton whether he is old enough to take his prize

Some members were shouting out that he should be given the prize (well Roger Parsons was emploring him to take the beer)

Ethan very sensibly accepted a box of balls for his nearest the pin much to the disappointment of his grandfather Roger Parsons

Don Woosnam needed no encouragement in acceting his case of Stella
