Our last game of the season and unfortunately high winds and rain came and ensured that the scores were a lot lower than usual.. Since the rain was expected, many of the players pulled out leaving just 35 stolid members to brave the conditions.

Being the last game of the season, it was also the deciding game for the Golfer of the Year title and as usual the leading 4 contenders made up the last 4-ball Lyn Jones, Rod Woodward, Paul Gregory and Clive Adams went out together but the weather was the winner with Clive Adams retiring early. None of the players in the 4 ball managed to improve on their score however Mark Roche did improve sufficiently on his score to move into third place. Lyn Jones held onto his commanding lead to win our Golfer of the Year title 2019.

Nearet the pin today was for the second shot on the 18th but no players managed to make it onto the green in two!

Captain Kevin Budge starts his last presentation in his role as Captain and what a good season he has had.

Our organiser Jen gets a bottle of bubbly for her greatly appreciated efforts

Golfer of the Year, Lyn Jones being congratulated by Captain Kevin Budge

The results were:

1st: Norman Vincent - 32 pts
2nd: Mark Roche - 32 pts

Our winner Norman Vincent also had to leave early
